Better We Lunchone club
The Luncheon Club, our weekly community gathering running since 2021, is one of our most valued and loved activities. It brings people together in a warm, friendly space where they can enjoy a healthy plant-based meal, talk with others, and feel supported. Many of our attendees are older people, isolated individuals, and vulnerable families.
What We Do
Every week, our volunteers prepare and serve fresh, healthy plant-based meals, which are not only nutritious but also better for the climate and the environment. The menu changes weekly with different cultural themes. Alongside the meal, we deliver health talks, health-awareness sessions, and wellbeing guidance to help members understand how to look after themselves. Members also take part in gentle activities and make new friends.

How It Helps the Community

- Supports mental and emotional wellbeing through friendly conversation and company
- Brings people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds together
- Creates a safe and welcoming space for those who feel disconnected
- Builds confidence, reduces loneliness and strengthens community bonds
Why It Matters
For many, the Luncheon Club is more than a meal—it is a lifeline. Since 2021, it has helped people feel valued, heard and cared for, especially those facing financial hardship, language barriers, health issues or limited family support.
At Better We, our goal is always to create a happier, healthier, more connected community, and the Luncheon Club plays a key role in making that possible.
